Another Globe cellsite bombed in Capiz
ROXAS CITY – Another cellular site owned by Globe Telecom was bombed Sunday night by armed men believed to be members of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army (CPP-NPA).
Lt. Col. Nicolas Passion of the Philippine Army (PA) said the perpetrators were around 12 members of the Eastern Front Committee led by Romulo Gangoso Alias Ka Rigan.
Aden Delfin, the cellsite's caretaker said that nobody was hurt in the bombing which occurred around 9:50 pm of September 14.
Capiz Provincial Police Office (CPPO) director Supt. Josephus Angan said he was informed that the said cellsite was subject of an attempted bombing on August 29 however the explosive device failed to explode.
To recall, also on August 29, around ten armed men also believed to be members of the CPP-NPA bombed a Globe Telecom cellsite in Sto. Rosario, Jamindan, Capiz, some 7 kilometers from town poblacion and 19 kilometers from Camp Peralta, headquarters of the Third Infantry Division Philippine Army, the biggest military camp in the Visayas.
