Antique Alay Lakad Foundation starts fundraising for out-shool-youth
The Antique Alay Lakad Foundation has started a fundraising to further expand its programs particularly intended to benefit the over 1,000 out-of-school youth (OSY) in the province.
Antique Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Lazaro G. Petinglay, Alay Lakad Foundation officer, said that in the past years, the foundation has provided scholarships and trainings to OSYs of the province.
Petinglay said that the foundation has a scholar in college who is about to graduate and 10 other OSYs who have completed the skills training on automotive.
The foundation also sponsored OSYs to the regional summit in Maasin town.
Petinglay said that the Alay Lakad Foundation will conduct the yearly walk-for-a-cause on Oct. 2 from the Evelio B. Javier Gymnasium to the EBJ Freedom Park to raise fund.
Faith-based organizations, non-government organizations, schools, capitol and other government agency employees will participate in the walk-for-a-cause. (PNA)
