Capitol honors 2008 Provincial Awardees for Service Excellence
BACOLOD CITY -- The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental honored this year's Provincial Awardees and Nominees for Service Excellence in an awarding ceremony held at the Capitol Social Hall, Friday.
The awardees were nominated and judged in four categories such as Executive, Professional-Supervisory, Professional-Non-supervisory, Skilled, and Unskilled Category.
The awardees in the Professional-Supervisory are Ma. Conchita Antipatia of the Provincial Planning and Development Office and Armigenia Benedicto of the Provincial Agriculturist Office; Mary Ann Ordinario of the Provincial Agriculturist Office and Pierre Francis San Jose of the Provincial Environment Management Office for the Professional, Non-supervisory Category; Liane Garcia of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office for the Executive Category; Roy Macanan of the Provincial Treasurer's Office, Edgardo Nanta of the Provincial Agriculturist Office and Santiago Inocencio of Cadiz District Hospital for the Skilled Category; and Hendrelino Buenafe of the Provincial General Services Office for the Unskilled Category.
Each of the awardees received P5,000 cash, plaque of recognition and a Nokia 6300 cellphone.
The nominees underwent series of interviews, surveys from co-employees, and assessments from the Board of Judges composed of Civil Service Commission Dir. Fernando O. Mendoza, Romelia M. Nuezca of the Technical Education & Skills Development Authority, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos President Fr. Sixto M. Bitangjol, Gemma Guadarrama of San Miguel Corporation, and Laarni Aguilar of Lifestyle Magazine.
Antipatia was also the recipient of the Exemplary Behavior Award who received P5,000 cash, laptop computer and plaque of recognition.
Gov. Isidro P. Zayco thanked the employees for their excellent service that did not only benefited the provincial government but the people of Negros Occidental.
Present during the program were Board Member Manuel Frederick Ko of the 3rd District who is also the chairman of the SP Committee on Personnel, 6th District Board Member Adolfo Mangao, Sr., 2nd District Board Member Miller Serondo, and Provincial Administrator Enrique Pinongan, among others.
