Capiz HRMPs contribute to success of 108th civil service anniversary
ROXAS CITY – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) – Capiz Field Office has acknowledged the support of the Human Resource Management Practitioners (HRMP) to the success in the provincial observance of the 108thPhilippine Civil Service anniversary last September.
"The HRMPs did not leave any stone unturned to ensure the successful celebration," said CSC – Capiz in a press release on the recently concluded celebration.
They were also instrumental in the dissemination of CSC Chairperson Ricardo Saludo's message during the nationwide simultaneous kick off ceremony last Sept. 1, added the release.
The HRMPs also attended an "Outreach Aklan" last Sept. 12 which benefited a baangay in Aklan.
"Capiz province is one of the first provinces which immediately extended unselfish support when Kalibo was badly struck by typhoon Frank and I am very happy that the Capiz Council of Personnel Officers (CPO) chose one of my barangays as beneficiary of their outreach," said Kalibo Mayor Reymar Rebaldo, who also joined the joint council meeting of Capiz and Aklan CPOs.
The outreach project was in coordination with the Aklan CPO which helped in the identification of an area most in need due to typhoon Frank devastation last June 21.
During the joint CPO meeting, the members shared their insights and experiences which greatly helped in their day-to-day personnel functions especially in the areas of recruitment, retention, rewards and recognition, and retirement, among others.
CSC Capiz Director Ma. Cynthia P.A. Gellegani also spearheaded a series of lectures on Republic Act 6713 or an Act Establishing a Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees to various local government units (LGUs)and Capiz State University (CapSU) campuses during the month-long celebration.
Some LGUs had their bloodletting, sportsfest, family day and clean and green activities as part of their civil service anniversary celebration.
The success of the celebration is also attributed to the support of LGUs, CapSU campuses, Department of Education (DepEd) City and Capiz Divisions and national government agencies, the CSC news noted. (PIA/A.Lumaque)
