City gov't acquires 4 big bikes for traffic aides
ROXAS CITY – The city government under the leadership of Mayor Vicente Bermejo has acquired four units of Jaguar motorcycle to be used by the traffic aides in the city.
Bermejo said the motorcycles would be for the special forces of traffic aides to be used purportedly in formal occasions such as the arrival of VIPs especially to guide flow of traffic.
The mayor said, the motorcycles were imported from China and it was bought thru Kalayaan Motors in the amount of P90,000 each.
"This is not an ordinary motorcycle since it has 200 cc engine which we ordered from China purposely for the traffic aides," Bermejo said.
It was learned that the jaguar has complete facilities such as jacket, helmet and other equipment t to be used by the traffic aides.
Bermejo added the motorcycles were acquired through public bidding with the help of City Councilor Herbert Chu.
