Castro-Firmalino joint relief operations in Roxas City
ROXAS CITY – 2nd District Representative Fredenil Castro of Capiz and Provincial Liga President Clemente " Budong" Castro-Firmalino jointly conducted relief operations in Barangay Olutayan as part of the concern for victims hit by typhoon Frank in June.
Firmalino, an ex-officio member of the Capiz provincial board, told The News Today (TNT) that some 300 residents of the said place were recipients of the said relief operations.
Firmalino said that the relief operation was requested by Olutayan Village Chief Manuel " Bongbong" Aninang who was the classmate of Representative Castro.
The provincial liga president said that the said recipients received packages containing various relief goods among which were 5 gantas of rice, noodles, sardines, and 3-in-1 coffee.
The distribution to the residents took place last week where some 11 village chiefs attended to witness the said relief operations.
Barangay chiefs present were Randee Albar of Lawaan; Fred Agrasada, Banica; Teros Camacho, Brgy. 7; Arceno Borres, Lanot; Wilson Acervo, Mongpong, city liga president; Noel Agapito, barangay 6; Alfredo Cartujano, Balijuagan; Fred Doroteo, barangay 5; Ildefonso Tobillo, barangay 3 and Romeo de Felipe, Punta Tabuc.
Firmalino said that 60 sacks of rice came from Representative Castro while he also contributed noodles, sardines and coffee.
The said give away to the residents was also attended by Vice Governor Felipe Barredo and members of the local media.
