Capiz PCL delegates learn more from Bacolod convention
ROXAS CITY – Delegates from Philippine Councilor's League (PCL) Capiz chapter who joined the three-day 2nd National Executive Convention Officer and National Board Meeting in Negros Occidental expressed that they have learned more from the said activity.
PCL Capiz Chapter president David Bauson told The News Today (TNT) that some 1,468 delegates coming from different chapters nationwide attended the said convention where some 47 of whom came from Capiz.
One of the most important thins that they learned from the conference was the new guideline of Commission on Audit (COA) regarding the disbursement and liquidation of purchases.
It was learned that Former Ilocos Governor now Deputy Security Adviser Luis "Chavit" Singson and Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla were the keynote speakers of the three-day affair.
PCL-Negros Occidental Chapter and the PCL-Bacolod City Chapter hosted the convention from October 10 to 12 at the L' Fisher Hotel and Bacolod Pavillion.
Singson was the speaker during the opening ceremony in Garden Royalle while Revilla on the closing ceremony. Guests of honor for the three-day conference were Negros Occidental Governor Isidro Zayco and Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia welcomed the officials with pride as Bacolod celebrates its 29th Masskara Festival.
