It was a night of utmost glamor and big hearts, when the country's premiere lifestyle and society magazine, Philippine Tatler celebrated its 7thanniversary with a grand ball at the Rizal Ballroom of the swanky Makati Shangrila last Oct 11, 2008. The venue was draped in luxurious off white fabric with different mood lights for optical effects; and with hundred of dozens of violet and blue Hydrengeas, white and pink Carnations, Tiger Lilies, red and pink Roses and Button Mumps beautifully styled around the place .
Dressed in their most finest fineries and jewels, the Philippine's most invited personalities including the members of the Diplomatic Corps glided their way into the red carpet for the "ball of the year". Served to distinguished guests during cocktails were the different hors d'oeuvres whipped up the hotel's chef and of course paired with the bubbly Moet et Chandon, considered as the most fabulous in the history of champagne, it symbolizes pleasure, splendor and the most spectacular fetes since 1743.

Apres, guests moved on to the elegant ballroom for a gala dinner that only Philippine Tatler can truly host with aplomb. It was followed by an auction for high-end products like Thai business class tickets for Europe, Chopard watch, and many others, which brought in hundreds of thousands of pesos to this years' beneficiary, Synergeia Foundation. This is an organization that aims to transform basic education in collaboration with local government, parents and the private sector . A beautiful presentation of Philippine Tatler's many projects seen in super wide screen gave the reception its substance. The guests were touched by the project's worthiness. For that night's affair, Philippine Tatler was able to raise P2.5 million (and still counting, dearie) making it possible to give 1,500 children in Silang, Cavite basic education thru Synergeia Foundation for the next six years. Hats off to the Philippine Tatler 's Managing Director Irene Martel- Francisco, Editor in-Chief Anton San Diego, Lifestyle and Social Editor Maurice Arcache, Managing Editor Chit Lijuaco and the rest of the team for a job well done.
