7th National Women's Climb

The 7th National Women's Climb of the Mountaineering Federation of the Philippines was held in Mt. Kanlaon Negros Occidental.
Called DAYAN- DAYAN SA BUKID, this was hosted by the Negros Mountaineering Club Inc. (NMCI).
Maan Tortusa, event chairperson and and Buddy Montinola of NMCI, made this event possible.
This annual activity of the MFP provides a venue to all women enthusiasts in the country to pursue and develop their skills in the spirit of fun and camaraderie.

The All Women's Climb also works to empower and strengthen Filipino women climbers through an annual climb activity, and strongly advocates responsible mountaineering and environmental awareness in all the mountains where All Women's Climb have been held each year.
There were 25 climbers from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao who joined this year and they experienced the wonders of Mt. Kanlaon. It is one of the mountains found in the north-central portion of Negros Island.

It is the highest peak in Central Philippines and the most dominant and the attractive feature of which is the active summit crater of a volcano.
The 8th National All Women's Climb will be in Sagada, Mountain Province.
