Sibolboro in hot water anew
BACOLOD CITY – The 350 bags of rice earlier reported missing have already been accounted for, but Panaad nursery supervisor Romulo Sibolboro is again in hot water.
News broke that Sibolboro allegedly made another unauthorized releases of 100 sacks of rice valued at P100,000.
Governor Isidro Zayco reportedly ordered Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) Edwin Abanil to conduct investigation on the issue.
Documents gathered show that there were releases of rice from the warehouse without having signed by Sibolboro.
"Due process should be done before any decision can be made and Abanil should submit his recommendations to my office," Zayco said..
Meanwhile, Atty. Ernie Magaspag of the Provincial Legal Office said rice intended for Food For Work projects of the PEMO of Negros Occidental earlier reported missing have all been accounted for.
"The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) borrowed the rice from Romulo Sibolboro, Panaad nursery supervisor in charge of the warehouse where it was stored," said Magaspag.
Magaspag said the 350 bags of rice have since been returned to the warehouse by the OPA so the complaint of malversation of public property lodged against Sibolboro could be dismissed.
