Home, sweet home
Rudy & Roslyn Agpasa and Jeffrey Dennis
It was a momentous occasion for the Agpasa and Maquino clans when Roslyn Majaducon-Agpasa, my aunt, went home to the Philippines and spent time with family, relatives and friends for two weeks. An owner of a nursing home in the United States after achieving success as a nurse in Chicago, Illinois, Roslyn was accompanied by her husband Rudy, children Richie and Ros Lyn and business partner Jeffrey Dennis.
Upon their arrival, the clan met at one of the grannies' house in Bucao, Sta. Barbara, where Tita Roslyn hails from. As the balikbayans were hungry from some native cuisine, next day's itinerary included lunch at Tatoy's and for some American fare for dinner, decided to have some steaks, pizza and more at Bourbon Street. Cocktails followed, and as the night progressed, those who wanted to party proceeded to MO2.

The third day was spent malling and pampering. After all, there's the hangover.
The fourth day was Tito Rudy's birthday, and this was celebrated at Lola Igna's house, again in Sta. Barbara.
The remaining three days were spent in paradise ... Boracay Island. There were water sports, gastronomic experiences of different cuisines, tattooing, shopping, and the best, swimming! Thirty eight members of the family came and stayed at Willy's Beach Club Hotel.
The day after the sun tanners went back to Iloilo, was also the day when the Agpasas had to fly back to the United States. It was two weeks of catching up for Tita Roslyn who hasn't been home for decades. She's a well-loved member of the clan and relatives always speak highly of her. That's one reason why her coming home deserved several celebrations. Another reason is, her presence was another venue for relatives who really missed each other, to get together again.
