Bago TB Center grabs leadership, performer awards
Bago City Health Office TB DOTS Center was recognized for the second time as Enterprise Leader and Star Performer Awardee in a ceremony held recently at the Hyatt Hotel and Casino, Manila.
The award was given by the Philippine Coalition Against Tuberculosis (PhilCAT) National Program Implementation Review (PIR) by assessing and evaluating the outcome of specific initiatives and strategies employed in Public - Private Mix DOTS (PPMD)
The Enterprise Award is given to a unit that fully utilized its personnel as the foundation of the organization. It assumes a quadrilateral form, suggesting the form of elements or sustainability that includes technological, financial-economic, socio-cultural and economic viability.
It is viewed as the capacity of the PPMD to provide accessible and acceptance quality of TB services.
On the other hand, the Star Performer Award is the top distinction for PPMD facility. To bag this award the unit must consistently achieve quarterly targets for case detection and case holding.
The City Health Office TB DOTS Center in partnership with private physician has 52% out of 158 % of case detection rate. It has also gained a 96% rating in terms of treatment making it one of the best performing units in the country.
