Sen. Roxas graces private hospitals confab in Manila
ROXAS CITY – Senator Manuel "Mar" Roxas was the guest speaker and inducting officer of the Private Hospital Association (PHA) Convention held in Manila last November 25- 26.
Newly-elected executive vice president Jessie Contreras told The News Today (TNT) that the PHA Convention tackled issues such as the memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the hospitals and patients, Cheaper Medicine Act and Senior Citizens discount.
Contreras, a former vice president for Visayas, was also conferred as a Fellow by Philippine College of Hospital Administrators Inc. during the convention.
Contreras said PHA has 900 members to include hospitals and doctor's clinics.
He added that some 328 delegates participated in the convention in which 260 were hospital administrators and the rest were medical practitioners.
Meanwhile, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chair Bayani Fernando was also the guest speaker during the affair.
