A Fund Raising: for FCCAAI Educational and Human Development Foundation
Honorary membership conferred to the
principal guests of honor.
Roxas City --- The Filamer Christian College Alumni Association Inc. (FCCAAI) recently held a fund raising dinner at the Roblee Hall of the college. The purpose of the activity is to raise the minimum capital fund of P1 Million for the establishment of the FCCAAI Educational and Human Development Foundation.
The objectives and rationale of the foundation are: (a) To have a permanent and continuing educational and scholarship grants for high school, college, and graduate studies in Arts, Sciences, Business, Nursing, Engineering, Theology, and Information Technology, etc. (b) The beneficiaries are deserving, intelligent and financially-handicapped students who are residents of Capiz province;

(c) The Fund shall be one of a "trust account in perpetuity" where none of the capital or subsequent contributions shall be disbursed, except the interests and income derived from investments to meet its objectives.
The guests of honor during the launching and fund raising dinner were Hon. Silvestre H. Bello III of the Office of the President of the Philippines; Hon. Roberto T. Lastimoso, DOTC Asst. Secretary and General Manager of MRT; and Mr. Cesar A. Cobrador, president and chairman of the board of Grandeur Security and Services Corp. based in Manila.
A program followed after the dinner hosted by Ana Marie D. Leal (FCC HS Batch '83) and Rico Santamaria (FCC BSC '98). After the messages from the principal guests of honor, an honorary membership was conferred to them and to the members of the FCC Board of Trustees.
This academic year (2008-2009) FCCAAI officers are: Fernando B. Diaz, Jr., president; Dr. Nilo Al D. Delfin, vice president; Phoebe F. Santiago, secretary; Esther S. Arceño, treasurer; Marilou M. Villar, auditor; Roger O. Gallega, business manager; Dr. Indaylou B. Almeida, public relations and communication manager.
