A night of fantasy and reality combined is the realization of a young lady's dream to be a princess awaiting her coronation to be queen for even a short moment in her lifetime.
The magical night of beauty, bliss and splendor had transformed the West Visayas State University (WVSU) Cultural Center into a grandiose castle and a queen was crowned on the unforgettable 20th day of November this year that have been embed in the College glorious history.
The dream of the eight dazzling ladies to become princesses in their own right has been granted but only one was made queen. Winlove Dupit representing the Senior Curriculum shined the brightest as she was crowned Miss Mass Communications 2009.Adding feather to her cap are the awards she received namely: Best in Talent, Best in Casual Wear, Best in Gown, Ms. Photogenic and Ms. Face Value.

Karla Dawn Yaneza from freshmen dazzled as the First Runner Up. She was awarded Best in Production Number and Best in Play Suit, Darling of the Press and Ms. Telegenic while the sophomore's princess Joie Mae Ysulat was adjudged Second Runner Up and Ms. Congeniality.
It was also a splendid night for Maevelee Canogoran from the Seniors as she bagged the Best in Interview award. Ms. Renew Placenta was awarded to Jona Jativa of the sophomores and Rowena Belasa got the Darling of the Production award.
"Believe in the power of your dreams because it will certainly come true", Winlove quipped. "It was a tough competition because all of my competitors are good but my perseverance and determination helped me to win the crown", she said further.

Being a queen does not only hold the promise of honor and prominence but more so a responsibility attached to the crown and the power to make a difference associated in the scepter. Winlove will carry on the title of being the College's Ambassadress of Goodwill and her beauty and prowess will radiate to inspire others.
Alex Soncio, Jane Baruis- Lasangre, Dr. Ramon Zarceno, Meriam Udicta and Dauphine Tayapad selected this year's Queen. Edel Carmela Subong and Ricky Becodo served as the official tabulators. DT Joy Gener and Jordan Toledo were the pageant's hosts with Irene Estella Harder as the anchor.
Reigning Ms. Mass Communications Ariane Argañosa made her last walk and finally handed over the crown to the new queen.

The Fairy tale like Ms. Mass Communications 2009 was made possible by the collective efforts of the College of Mass Communications Student Council, WVSU administration, Elly Jun Tiope, Keithel Ferrer, Gerry Gequillo, CMC faculty, staff students and sponsors. The News Today served as the official media partner of the pageant.
A dream was made true and in most fairy tale ending- the crowned queen Winlove Dupit will be living her life to the fullest.
