The spirit of Christmas was felt even more when the Tree of Hope and the Barbie Musical Display were launched at the Robinsons Place Iloilo recently.
The Tree of Hope is a partnership of the mall with ABS-CBN wherein one can hang a star in the said Christmas tree for only P10. And this amount could go a long way in helping children in need.
Then, the young ones and even adults were treated to a spectacular presentation of Barbie, Secret of the Diamond Castle, a musical display which is ongoing at the said mall's Ledesma carpark every 6 in the evening until January 4, 2009. (Even the Tree of Hope is ongoing at the lobby of the Robinsons mall entrance.)

After the musical display, today's hottest singing sensation Karylle enthralled everyone with her good voice and good looks. Many commented that she's actually beautiful in person. I have to agree. Any woman who still looks great and happy after an unfortunate event in her life, is somebody worth admiring.

The Story
The musical display is based on the story of two friends Lianna and Alexa who shared the same passion for singing. Walking through the forest one day, the girls found a magical mirror. While singing, they cleaned the mirror and a musical muse named Melody appeared in the mirror's surface. Melody tells the girls about the secret of the Diamond Castle, which is the home of all music, and where three musical muses
once resided, and an evil muse, Lydia, who tried to take the castle for herself. As an act of safekeeping, the other two muses entrusted the key of the Diamond Castle to Melody. To keep the key safe from Lydia, Melody hid herself in the mirror but now she can't get out. She needs Lianna's and Alexa's help to free her from the mirror and save the Diamond Castle.
