Gov. Zayco turns over P2.2 M projects in Dancalan
Gov. Isidro P. Zayco led the turn over ceremony and inauguration of projects worth a total of P2,240,000, including Potable Water System Project, Irrigation Dam Project, Shallow Tube Well and a unit of computer complete with accessories for the Dancalan Waterworks Multi-Purpose Cooperative, yesterday in Brgy. Dancalan, Municipality of Ilog.
The activity was held in line with the celebration of their First Cooperative Day.
The activity started with the blessing of the project officiated by Rev. Cesar Galvez and ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Gov. Zayco and 6th District Board Member Adolfo Mangao, Sr.
It was followed a program at the public plaza where Gov. Zayco expressed his gratitude for the support of the members and officers of the cooperative. He added that food production is one of his priority projects in the provincial government and he is happy to know that the assistance extended is useful to the barangays of Ilog town.
The Cooperative also received a Gravity Potable Water System worth P900,000 from Multi-Sectoral Alliance for Development-Negros (MUAD-Negros); Rice Productivity loan check worth P2.5 M from Land Bank of the Philippines-Bacolod; and technology assistance from the Alternative Indigenous Development Foundation, Inc. (AIDFI).
Also present in the activity were Reynic Alo, Executive Director of MUAD-Negros, Pedrito Cabuguason of the LBP-Bacolod, National Food Authority Asst. Manager Manuel Castañares, Dancalan Brgy. Capt. Kim Castañares, Dancalan Coop Chairman Amador Contreras, Dancalan Coop Manager Edmund Turk Vail, Sr., among others. (Capitol News)
