CSC Capiz accepts application for brgy official eligibility
ROXAS CITY – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Capiz Field Office has launched an all-out campaign to accommodate the application for barangay official eligibility.
"The CSC launched this special project because many barangay officials are still unaware of this eligibility," said a CSC Capiz press release.
The project is being spearheaded by CSC - Capiz Provincial Director Cynthia P. A. Gellegani.
"The Barangay Civil Service Eligibility is considered appropriate for first level positions in the career service except those which require qualification skills or trade test and/or requiring board examinations and other special eligibilities provided under special laws," the release stressed.
Application forms maybe obtained from the CSC Capiz Field Office.
The requirements include original and photocopy of at least one valid ID with picture and signature of applicant, three identical 1" x 1" pictures with complete name and tag (digital or computerized pictures not accepted), original and photocopy of birth certificate issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO), certification from the city/municipal officer of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) of the services rendered in the barangay, certified machine copy of Oath of Office, certified machine copy of Master List of Barangay Officials from the DILG, certified copy of marriage contract for married women, and P150.00 processing fee.
The CSC has issued Resolution No. 93-3666 on September 7, 1993 which granted Barangay Civil Service Eligibility pursuant to the provision of Batas Pambansa Bilang 337 and Republic Act 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991. (CSC/PIA/A.Lumaque)
