Legit operators want 'colorum' vans out of the roads
ROXAS CITY – Some 25 legitimate franchise holders of the vans plying the routes Estancia-Balasan-President Roxas to Roxas City and vice-versa are seeking the intervention of the regional director of the Land Transportation Office and the Office of the Traffic Regulatory and Management Unit (TRMU) to solve the existing operations of "colorum" or non-franchise holders vehicles in their routes.
In a two-page petition obtained by The News Today (TNT) from the office of Board Member Baden Cantiller, chair Committee on Communications, Transportation and Public Utilities, revealed that 25 "colorum" vans are plying their routes in the said areas.

"Unfortunately the operations of the colorum vehicles is ceaseless and directly affect our operations and income for that matter," it also said.
Cantiller told TNT that as chair of the concerned committee, he will act on the matter that will solve the pertinent problem.
