Capiz Tesda Schools holds CAPTESA Meet 2009
ROXAS CITY -- The association of eighteen active member-schools in Capiz and this city, the Capiz TESDA Schools Association, Inc. (CAPTESA, Inc.), established in 1999 will hold its 2009 CAPTESA Meet, January 28-30, 2009.
This will be highlighted by a 3-day friendly sports competition, a literary-musical contests and the Mr. & Ms. CAPTESA 2009.
In the opening salvo, January 28, 2009, all member schools will join in the foot parade with their respective students in the ladderized TESDA supervised academic programs, faculty & staff, their school administrators and the TESDA Provincial Office. Also joining the street parade are the contestants of the Mr. & Ms. CAPTESA 2009 are expected to inform the public of who & what Capiz TESDA Schools are.
The opening ceremony will follow at the Capiz Gymnasium with Capiz 1st District Honorable Esteban "Evan" Contreras, II, Chairman, Education Committee of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan as the guest of honor. There will be an exhibition of FCC Drum & Lyre Corps and the CPC Cheer & Dance Troupe will also perform to add color to the celebration.
Games in 8-sports events (Athletics-M/W; Badminton-M/W; Basketball-M; Chess-M/W; Table Tennis-M/W; Speak Takraw-M; Swimming-M/W & Volleyball-M/W) will follow right after the opening ceremony. The Literary-Musical contest and the search for Mr. & Ms. CAPTESA 2009 will be held at the FCC Roblee Hall.
This year's theme of the celebration is: "CAPTESA @10: Leading the Way to a Better Life".
