Antique PNP celebrates 18th Foundation Day
SAN JOSE, Antique -- The Antique Police Provincial Office (APPO) celebrates the 18th Foundation Day with the theme "Pambansang Pulisya: Kaagapay ng Mamamayan sa Kapayapan at Kaunlaran".
PSupt. Ren T. Darroca, Provincial Director said that this year's anniversary celebration of the PNP is full packed with awards and recognition for promoted police officers and retirees in appreciation of their unwavering commitment in helping the police force achieved its mission to protect and serve the Filipino people.
Judge Neri Duremdes, Regional Trial Court Branch 64, in his message as guest of honor during the program emphasized that together as Filipino people we can build a better country. He challenged the police officers to keep on the good works, with integrity, professionalism, dynamism, prudence and determination to serve and protect the people. With the civilians, "let us help establish a nation a happy place to live in, conducive for business and investment, where we can say we are safe and secure", he said.
A Thanksgiving Mass at the PNP chapel officiated by Fr. Rey Cazeñas opened the celebration followed by the PNP Flag Raising Ceremony and Opening Rites where PSupt Mario M. Millaro, DSC Deputy Provincial Director for Administration welcomed the visitors and families of the police officers.
Investiture of the newly promoted police officers was led by PD Darroca assisted by Hon. Judge Duremdes, Vice Governor Rhodora Cadiao, Staff Officers and respective family members. Certificate of Recognition were also awarded to Antique Police Provincial Office Best Performing Officers.
Vice Governor Rhodora Cadiao congratulated the Antique PPO for exemplary performance and leadership which made Antique one of the best in Region 6. She assured the men and women in uniform that the Provincial Government is all out in its support to the needs of the Antique PPO to boost their performance especially that the domino effect of global crisis on economy, food and energy is in the offing.
"Despite unpleasant images portrayed by some police officers, we still believe in your sincerity to serve and protect our country", Cadiao said.
For those who have been promoted, Judge Duremdes commended them for a job well done. "You deserve your promotion," he concluded. (PIA)
