Passporting Service in M. Padilla, Mar. 21-22
BACOLOD CITY -- Negros Occidental 5thDistrict Rep. Ignacio "Iggy" T. Arroyo will make things easier for his constituents to apply and renew their passports.
Arroyo will bring the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA's) Passporting Service to Moises Padilla's Municipal Auditorium on March 21-22, 2009.
Passporting service will start at 8 AM – 12 NN and 1 PM – 4 PM.
Director Reynaldo G. Cardenas will be the team leader for this passporting service. He said they will accommodate 600 applicants or 300 applicants each day.
The applicants are advised to bring their birth certificate and marriage contract authenticated by the National Statistics Office (NSO).
They should also secure extra copies of their birth certificate and marriage contract in SECPA from the NSO as documents submitted to the DFA will be considered as "DFA files," Cardenas said.
"It will not be returned to them. These documents will be kept permanently in our office," he said.
Passport fee is P750.00, Cardenas said.
Personal appearance is a must for new applicants.
Cong. Arroyo said that this will be open to residents of 5thDistrict.
"They could save money and time if they avail of this mobile passporting service of the DFA," he said.
The release of the new passports will be on April 18, said Celeanor P. Pacaña, Releasing Team Leader.
