Other members of “Voltes V” are Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson, Greg Gasataya, Dindo Ramos and Al Victor Espino.
Recently many controversies were linked to them which created a bad image for the “Voltes V”.
Bais said the true mission of the “Voltes V” is to protect the people’s interest. Being public servants, “we always go for the welfare of the people. However, some quarters have tainted the image of the 'Voltes V', linking us to several questionable actions.”
However, “I feel that Voltes V still keeps its mission of doing what’s best for the people of Bacolod. I feel that belonging to the group still connotes strength that is being used to protect the people’s interest.”
Bais was once with the media profession. He is on his 2nd term as Councilor of Bacolod City.

Bais said he still has his last term and he will still seek re-election.
He is affiliated with the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) and strongly supports Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia.
Other quarters would say that Leonardia’s men are very loyal to him.
Bais agreed saying, “We support Mayor Leonardia, all the way. We respect him as he respects us. There are things that sometimes we disagree, but he respects it. Sometimes, he also disagrees and we respect him for that. In the end, we decide on what’s best, under a particular circumstance.”
