CBC Lily of the Valley Mission Home blessed
BACOLOD CITY -- Giving back the immeasurable blessings from God, devout couple Engr. Rodulfo and Violeta Niere have opened another door of opportunity to the people of La Carlota City, as they established the Community Bible Church (CBC) “Lily of the Valley Mission Home” Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Yonque St.,in their beloved hometown.
This couple is a philanthropist by heart who shares their blessings to those who need them most.
Children were given the opportunity to have access to education through the CBC Shalom Center, guided by the religious principle and faith through the Community Bible Church and the many projects from school buildings, scholarships and orphanage, this couple and their family especially Manay Lilia N. Pabalate and Mr. Romy Niere and several others have not ceased to help and share their blessings to others.
They have the strength, wisdom, protection and guidance of God because of their “never-ending generosity” to others.
Engr. Niere, Chairman of the Board of the Sowers International, was the first City Engineer of the City of La Carlota while his wife was the first City Nurse also in the said city.
But God showed them the way to improve and enjoy life to the fullest. They migrated to the United States since Jan. 1997 and embraced their home country again after 32 years, in foreign land.
“God was so good to us. We had well paying jobs abroad. I believe that we are just the stewards of God’s blessings. And we are using it to help others for His honor and glory. We should let go of greed in our hearts and God will take care of us. We all have plans for our lives, but God has better plans for all of us. We are just an instrument of God to help others,” Eng’r. Niere said.
He added, “We need not worry if we are in deep trouble, because the God in the mountains is still the God in the valley. The God in good things is still the God in bad times. If we are down, God will never leave nor forsake us,” he said.
He said that with the blessings they have received from God, they are duty-bound to return it to help others.
“There is no place like doing things for God, for your family and community,” he said.
Mr. Romy Niere believes that “All the good things and perfect gifts come from God. My brother Rodulfo and my sister-in-law live in the principle of God first and God as their partner in everything they do.”
He said that they have a heart for the orphans because they were once orphans in Iloilo. They have an orphanage in Digos, Davao City, which houses the tribal Muslim children.
Moreover, the Lily of the Valley Mission Home was established in memory of Dr. Amelia Valera, the previous owner of the property now called the “Lily of the Valley Mission Home.”
Eng’r. Niere said, “She was a lady of a kind. She was the best educator I knew who served as the former President of the La Carlota City College. She did her best; she did a good job in her life time. We, the Niere family give honor and dignity to Dr. Valera. Honor should be given where it is due. This was her dream to have a Lily of the Valley after we have donated the “Rose of Sharon” school building at the La Carlota City College. And this is a dream come true. Her dreams are now fulfilled with the dedication and blessing of the new Lily of the Valley Mission Home.”
