37 Barangay Captains vow support to Cano Tan
BACOLOD CITY -- The biggest birthday gift that Land Transportation Office – National Capital Region (LTO-NCR) Director Ricardo “Cano” Tan has received was the endorsement by the 37 barangay captains of Bacolod City for him to pursue his plan to run for Congress in the Lone District of Bacolod.
Barangay Captains Andre Victor Las Pinas, (Villamonte); Rufino Alcala, (Punta-taytay); Romel Diaz, (Brgy. 22); Graciano Fuentes, (Brgy. 17); Romeo Ramos, Sr., (Brgy. 14); Alan Lucasan, (Montevista); Sammy Gaitan, (Brgy. 1); Mercedes France, (Brgy. 31), and several others signed a manifesto of support to Director Tan, as their birthday gift to him.
They have taken this step as a show of their genuine support to the leadership of Tan whom they truly believe can best represent the people of Bacolod in the Halls of Congress.
The barangay heads, together with their kagawads and purok officials have affirmed Cano Tan’s track record in public service which has always been marked with consistency, industry and heartfelt sincerity.
They said that the unblemished record of Cano Tan as a public servant has made them believe that he would faithfully work for the best interests and well being of Bacolodnons as well as sponsor local and national bills for the good of Bacolod and its residents while making his mark as a legislator.
Tan has always upheld the dignity and integrity of every office that he has held, either in any public or private office.
Meanwhile, Director Tan was deeply touched by the gesture shown by the barangay leaders and their kagawads and friends where he promised that he would always work for the best interest of the Bacolodnons and the country.
