11 towns get patrol motorbikes
The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) turned over yesterday 11 Honda 200cc motorcycles to police stations as part of its goal of improving its services to the public.
Antique Police Provincial Office received three units of patrol motorcycles for San Remegio, Sebaste, and Sibalom Municipal Police Stations (MPS). Capiz PPO has four which were intended for Cuartero, Dao, Ivisan, and Panitan MPS. Guimaras PPO got two units for Jordan and San Lorenzo MPS. And two units went to Iloilo Police Provincial Office for Mina and Tubungan MPS.
Town mayors and Chiefs of Police received the patrol motorcycles.
PRO6 top cop, Police Chief Superintendent Isagani R. Cuevas, said with the support pouring in from PNP National Headquarters, particularly on improving its lift capability, better services are also expected to be provided to the public.
He also cited that last month, during the 18th PNP Anniversary, 32 patrol vehicles were turned over to several police stations here.
“We hope to strengthen our police visibility to deter crimes and make more efficient our responses to police assistance with these patrol vehicles,” he stressed.
Cuevas appealed to the Local Government Units to continuously support the PNP, especially on POL (Petroleum, Oil and Lubricant) and maintenance of the vehicles of police stations. (POIII FB Lindero Jr.)
