Lambunao fire guts 3 classrooms
An early morning fire burned down yesterday three classrooms of the Lambunao National High School in Lambunao, Iloilo.
The incident was placed at about 3 a.m. with town officials awakened by calls for help made by locals in the area.
The rooms were all used by graduating students with faulty electrical wiring believed to be the cause of the fire.
A school security then patrolling school premises first noticed smoke and sparks inside one room.
Mayor Reynor Gonzales was in the fire scene in minutes as residents helped the team from the town’s Bureau of Fire Protection.
No one was hurt injured in the blaze. It was not immediately clear how much damage was brought by the incident.
