Another batch of DAR Iloilo scholars graduate
The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Iloilo Provincial Office third batch of scholars under its special program, President Diosdado Macapagal Agrarian Scholarship Program (PDMASP), completed their degree courses in agriculture and other related courses from different state colleges and universities in the province.
From this year’s 38 graduates, Ethyl L. Latoza (West Visayas State University, Calinog Campus) graduated magna cum laude, and eight (8) graduated cum laude – Japsy C. Alivar (Iloilo State College of Fisheries ,San Enrique Campus), Hazelle H. Castor (West Visayas State University, Calinog Campus), Karyl Lou A. Celeste (West Visayas State Universiry College of Agriculture & Forestry), Cherry Bell H. Cercado (West Visayas State University, Calinog Campus), Jalica L. Dime (West Visayas State University College of Agriculture & Forestry), Edna N. Legarde (West Visayas State University, Lambunao Campus), April Grace N. Mondejar (Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College, Concepcion Campus), and Basilyn R Joy B. Tagalogon (West Visayas State University College of Agriculture & Forestry).
PDMASP is an innovative scholarship program that provides educational assistance to qualified and deserving children or descendants of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) to help them send their children to college for free. It is intended to provide qualified dependents of CARP Beneficiaries nationwide the opportunity to enroll in state colleges and universities with college-degree courses. DAR is spending for the tuition fees, book allowance, monthly stipend of the scholars and other benefits that include group personal accident insurance, payment for tuition fees for OJT on summer with monthly stipend.
