Nominations for 2009 Outstanding Public Officials and Employees extended April 20
ROXAS CITY – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has extended its March 31 deadline for the submission of nominations for the Search for 2009 Outstanding Public Officials and Employees to April 20 this year.
“This is to afford high flyers in government to join the Search and be recognized in any of the prestigious Presidential Lingkod Bayan, Dangal ng Bayan and Pagasa Awards,” said CSC Memorandum Circular.
The Lingkod Bayan and Pagasa Awards are for outstanding work performance while the Dangal ng Bayan Award is given for exemplary ethical behavior.
“Nominations shall be accepted by the Commission until April 20, 2009 through its central, regional, provincial and field offices nationwide pursuant to the 2009 Honor Awards Program (HAP) Guidelines which were extensively disseminated earlier to all branches of the government,” the circular added.
The Commission also continues to enjoin government agencies to strengthen efforts to identify potential men and women who have shown outstanding work performance or have displayed consistent exemplary ethical behavior worthy of recognition.
Further information such as the 2009 HAP guidelines, program flyer and nomination forms may be secured at any CSC offices or downloaded at the CSC website. (PIA/A.Lumaque)
