Gamboa asked the groups to come up with a common stand on the celebration as he appealed for a light and peaceful conduct of their respective rallies.
Labor groups will hold rallies in commemoration of the struggle of workers particularly on the effect of global crisis.
DOLE and PESO will conduct jobs fair on selected malls such as Gaisano City, Robinsons Place Bacolod and SM City.
Several local and international recruitment agencies will participate in the jobs fair.
Crispin Dannug Jr. of DOLE Regional Office said that the job fair is one of the major responses to the recent global crisis.
He called on various companies and establishments to provide DOLE with a list of job vacancies available for job seekers.
“We have established our job enhancement and assistance program,” said Dannug.
PESO head Moises Dela Cruz said that they are working hand in hand with DOLE.
He disclosed that the Overseas Recruitment Agencies that will participate in the job fair are hall of famers.
“They are agencies that do not have bad records in recruitment and they have sent more workers abroad,” said Dela Cruz.
He added that they are expecting 300 work applicants to be hired on the spot.
“With 19 companies and agencies, we really hope to hit the target of 300 workers to be hired immediately,” said Dela Cruz. (Tintin Dinglasan)
