What are the basic financial needs that each Ilonggo has to attain? What are the choices available for individuals who want to get into financial planning? More importantly, how can one achieve economic security and stability during these tough times?
The answers to such questions are vital but can be very elusive. This is the reason why Sun Life Financial Philippines (SLFP) invited everyone to discover its latest market education drive called “Secrets of the Sun.” This campaign highlights the essential components for a brighter financial outlook: the Sun of Enlightenment for educational policies, the Sun of Fortitude, for life insurance, the sun of Vitality for health plans, and the sun of Tranquility for retirement needs.

Sun life, through Secrets of the Sun, wants everyone to realize that preparation is key to being financially confident. Likewise, this year's market education campaign was actually a revelation of the array of options accessible in the market. To start seeking for the Secrets of the Sun, a nationwide mall tour will bring the answers closer to Filipinos. Certified Sun Life financial advisors who can guide clients through the path of financial Enlightenment, Fortitude, Vitality and Tranquility manned the booths last April 17 to 19, 2009 at SM City Iloilo. Sun Life's planetarium-shaped booth was the toast of the town, bringing in financial knowledge for every Ilonggo to learn and apply.

Sweetening the journey for the Secrets of the Sun are trips for two to the Singapore Science Center and the Beijing Planetarium. For the grand reward, the winner will be traveling to Florence, Italy to the Planetario di Firenze. Booth visitors who filled out the necessary forms can qualify for this contest.
“Through the Secrets of the Sun, we want to spread the light and brightness of sound financial planning to all Filipinos and prove that we are at the forefront of providing answers to all financial-related questions and concerns,” affirms SLFP president and chief executive officer Henry Joseph Herrera.
Remember, the Secret is just waiting to be found.
