Manaay, new Cadiz City police chief
BACOLOD CITY -- Police Chief Inspector Noel Mana-ay will replace Police Chief Inspector Jefferson Descallar as Cadiz City police station chief effective today, May 4, 2009.
In a Special Orders No. 46 signed by Police Senior Superintendent Manuel Felix, simple turn-over ceremonies will happen as part of the procedure before his assumption.
Descallar on the other hand will head the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) Police Community Relations.
In his stint in Cadiz City, the police station gained so many awards both in the provincial and national categories.
The latest was when he bagged 2008’s Best Police Station award in the province.
Felix said that the re-assignment of officers is a normal process in the Philippine National Police and is also in relation to the principle of putting the right man for the right position.
Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante is expecting more from Manaay, especially to conduct massive campaign against illegal drug activities.
Manaay also promised to do his responsibility to the people and appealed for the cooperation of everybody.
