Chief Justice Puno belies running for president
ROXAS CITY – Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Reynato Puno belied reports that he is interested to run for president. The denial was made during a press conference at the grand opening of Solid Honda last week where he was guest.
“I’m not interested to run for president,” Puno said when he asked by mediamen about politics after his name was linked to Moral Force Movement in Manila.
Puno clarified that the movement has no intention for politics but to advocate the revival of ethical and moral principles.
Puno was invited by Mr. Pablo Chu to grace the grand opening of Solid-Honda motorcycle dealer last May 21 here.
He congratulated the Chu family for putting up the said business which could help produce employment in the city.
The Chief Justice was joined by local officials led by Mayor Vicente Bermejo, other public officials, friends from the Mason, and officials from Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) led by its Vice President For Sales and Marketing Fumihiko Ito.
Chu, president of SMDI, said the newest Solid-Honda 3’S Shop is an additional realization of his dream to provide employment to every Filipino and to provide affordable motorcycle units as a convenient mode of transportation.
He encouraged employees to be honest in doing their job for customers' satisfaction and become industrious, tactful, persistent and respectful.
City Mayor Vicente Bermejo, on his part, said that the city's vision will become a reality due to the collaboration of both private and public sectors.
He added that Capiz is strategic area for business in Northern Panay Island. He also congratulated Chu for putting up business that would help address unemployment problems.
