Guv, guest in groundbreaking rites for road network in Kabankalan
Negros Occidental Governor Isidro Zayco was guest of honor on the ground breaking and lowering of the time capsule ceremonies of the Kabankalan City road network project held one after the other in Brgys Linao, Tabugon and Inapoy recently.
The road network has a budget of Php 308 M. sourced from the city’s DBP loan of P508.63 million.
The groundbreaking in Brgy. Bantayan portion was already held last year and is expected to be finished year. The 44.54-kilometer road network will cross Brgys. Linao, Tampalon, Tabugon, Tagoc, Pinaguinpinan, Inapoy, Bantyan and Locotan.
Present on the groundbreaking rites were Vice Mayor Delia Anacan, Board Member Raul Rivera, chairman, committee on infrastructure and members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
Ame Cris Toledo, head, regional marketing center Negros, DBP, also gave a message with Brgy captains Jose Randy Gargarita of Brgy. Linao, Vincent Villo of Tabugon and Romulo Magdapat, Sr. of Inapoy gave their response.
Mayor Zayco said this road network will boost livelihood of the people in the locality and will make the municipalities of of Ayungon, Mabinay and Manjuyod in Oriental Negros more accessible to Kabankalan. (Eddie M. Yap)
