DPWH employee loses P200T to 'budol-budol'
ROXAS CITY – A female employee of the 2nd Engineering District of the Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) complained to the city police that she lost her P200,000 to the “budol-budol” gang members here on Sunday.
May Daradar y Apruevo, 37, of Brgy. Bolo said that two unidentified male and female were able to get the said amount from her through “sweet talk”.
She said that the incident took place in the morning of June 7 when she went to Roxas City bringing the said cash inside her bag.
According to her, she was riding at the tricycle and upon reaching at the boundary of Lawaan and the city proper, the tricycle suffered flat tire prompting her to transfer to a passenger jeep where she meet the suspects.
She said that the suspects told her that they have different kinds of jewelries worth thousands of pesos inside their bags.
Upon reaching the city, a woman followed up and convinced her while riding at the tricycle until they reached at the business establishment.
Inside the said establishment, she discovered that the money inside her bag was already missing while the suspects was already nowhere to be found.
The victim is now confined at a hospital in Roxas City while the police is still investigating the said case.
