Dad urges city engineer to fast track NDCC road projects
BACOLOD CITY -- Sangguniang Panglungsod Member Roberto Rojas, chair of the Committee on Infrastructure and Public Works, today will pass a resolution urging the City Engineers Office through Engr. Teresita Guadalupe, OIC City Engineers Office, to fast tract the completion of projects funded by the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC).
Rojas said that the Bacolod City Government received the amount of P10 million from the NDCC through Presidential Deputy Spokesman Anthony Golez last December 2008 to fund certain projects in the city.
Cited under this project were the rehabilitation/restoration of damaged drainage lines along Libertad-Lopez Jaena St. which is only 35 percent accomplished.
Rojas further said that the rehabilitation of drainage system along Lopez Jaena St. from the Fire Station going to the junction of Malaspina St. to Hilado St. is 89 percent completed.
Rojas stated that the rehabilitation of drainage line along Aguinaldo St. and B.S. Aquino Drive Brgy. 3 and 4 with 20 percent accomplishment.
