Lacson-Yulo tandem in 2010, only speculation
BACOLOD CITY – Vice Governor Atty. Emilio “Dino” Yulo III denied reports that he will be running for vice governor ion the upcoming 2010 elections with Third District Congressman Jose Carlos “Kako” Lacson as his running mate for governor.
Yulo said it is pure speculations stressing that Lacson-Yulo tandem for 2010 is not true.
Reports revealed that Lacson and Yulo will run for the top two posts of Negros Occidental under the Nacionalista Party (NP).
During Senator Manny Villar's visit in Negros Occidental last week, the NP head said his party may field its own slate of local bets in Negros Occidental if alliances are not made.
It cannot be denied that Yulo is not just a close ally but a close friend of Villar for long years.
“There was no discussion so far of fielding local candidates,” Yulo stressed.
Lacson, on the other hand, do not want to make comment anymore on the issue.
Sources also said that Yulo may run for congressman in the 5th District against incumbent Congressman Ignacio Arroyo.
Independent surveys of students from a reputable private university in the Bacolod City revealed that Yulo is the new choice for congressman of the people especially in the Hinigaran town.
Yulo on the other hand do not want to talk more about this matter because election is quiet far at this moment.
All he promises this time is his continued service to the province as a whole.
