RMPH chief sacks doc
ROXAS CITY – A physician of the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (RMPH) was meted with three months suspension by the hospital's chief for unethical and unprofessional conduct and violation of hospital rules and regulations.
Dr. Silverio Pampliega, medical specialist II, was suspended by Dr. Jose Dante Galbines, OIC chief of hospital, effective July 1 to September 30, 2009.
In a memorandum dated June 30 issued by Galbines to Pampliega, the sacked doctor was suspended of all his rights as active medical specialist in the Department of Surgery at RMPH.
“You shall continue to render as medical specialist on call in the service wards (charity) of the Department of Surgery, RMPH, thereafter, your status shall be reviewed and re-evaluated according to your performance,” Galbines stated in his memorandum.
The suspension stemmed from the alleged failure of the doctor to issue receipt to RMPH patients.
Dr. Evelyn Albaña, chief of clinics, Mrs. Alma Pajarillo, Sup. Adm. Officer and the respondent were furnished with copy of the suspension order.
