Suplico turns VG post anew to Garin
First District Board Member Richard Garin started to have a feel for the nth time what it takes to be Iloilo’s Vice Governor.
Designated anew by Vice Governor Rolex Suplico, Office Order No. 15 turned over the post to Garin “as Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Vice Governor with all the powers, duties and functions of the Vice Governor except the power to appoint, transfer, suspend or dismiss personnel” until his return.
Suplico went on official leave last July 2nd with the Garin designation automatically revoked upon his arrival.
As such, notification was made on all members of the 9th Iloilo Sanggunian Panlalawigan (SP), Office of the Governor, all Capitol chiefs and the Capitol’s depository bank, Land Bank of the Philippines.
The latest temporary designation came amidst widespread talks on Board Member Garin’s purported candidacy as Iloilo Vice Governor in next year’s polls.
Capitol employees tasked to deliver office transmittals needing the vice governor’s signature similarly raised the same observation.
To note, previous official leave of absences of Vice Governor Suplico usually lead to Garin’s assumption of said office.
There would also be instances where the post is left to First District Board Member Mac Napulan or Second District Board Members Rodolfo Cabado and June Mondejar.
