Bacolod police serving as ‘scubasurero’
BACOLOD CITY -- In line with the celebration of the 14th Police Community Relations Month, organic members of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) and police officer’s undergoing their Field Training Program (FTP) with the assistance of force multipliers, residents and officials of Barangay Singcang Airport joined forces in cleaning the shorelines of Purok Villa Servando in the said Barangay Sunday morning.
Dubbed as “Scubasurero”, the Bacolod police will also plant mangroves locally known as “bakhaw” in the same area today, July 21, 2009.
Senior Police Officer 1, Rey Jereos, Assistant Chief of the Police Community Relations Division of BCPO also took the opportunity to talk to the residents of said area on how to keep their shoreline clean and reminded them that they should not throw garbage especially plastics.
Barangay Singcang Airport Punong Barangay Fernanado Odango was so grateful to the PCR division of BCPO for choosing their barangay in the said coastal clean-up and signified his support in all the activities of the BCPO particularly in the fight against criminality.
On July 31, 2009, BCPO will also be having a Medical Mission and Bloodletting activity at Purok Singko in the same barangay.
