PhilHealth to open new office in southern Negros
PhilHealth will open and inaugurate its new Service Office in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on August 3, 2009. The PSO-Kabankalan serves as cluster home of PhilHealth members in Southern Negros.
This new office is equipped with universal counter and can provide the all-in-one service just like others in the region. Services include membership registration, updating, printing and issuance of PhilHealth Identification Number (PIN) and Member Data Record; Collection payment, submission of remittance report; and, Claims submission, inquiry of the status of claim processing, releasing of benefit payment check.
The innovation lessens the turn around time of PhilHealth transaction and will be more conducive for clients.
“It is our continuing endeavor, and we will not stop until we give the best and satisfying services to our members-our employers,” stressed by RVP Alberto C. Manduriao, PhilHealth Regional Office (PhRO) VI Head.
It was learned before that every transaction was being endorsed to the Regional Office for action but now most of these have been decentralized to the service offices.
To minimize the burden of members, PhRO VI laid down a policy that allows stale check and those issued to OFWs who are still outside of the country can directly encash instead of replacing it provided the amounted to not over P1,000 and for as long as the required documents are presented by the claimant.
During enrollment and updating of records of Employed and Individually Paying members, PhRO VI no longer require submission of photocopied documents instead the presentation of the original document to be validated by the frontline officers sufficed.
The new office is located at NZ Bldg., J.Y. Perez Highway, Brgy. Talubangi, Kabankalan City beside the Kabankalan City Hall. Other Service Offices in Negros Occidental are in Bacolod City and Sagay City. (LTabsing)
