Absence of full-fledged director seen as factor in BCPO’s low ranking
BACOLOD CITY – The absence of a full-fledged director at Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) could be one of the factors that made BCPO number seven in the Performance Evaluation of Police Regional Office 6.
This was the observation of Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia as he expressed satisfaction over the performance of OIC BCPO chief Supt. Leo Irwin Agpangan.
The mayor said he is still looking for a permanent police director who will lead the strong policemen and women of the BCPO.
“It will not take so long and soon we will have an announcement regarding this matter,” he added.
PSupt. Agpangan is serving as OIC Police Director after PSSupt. Ronilo Quebrar was re-assigned to Manila last February this year.
The Department of Interior and Local Government through PRO 6 head Chief Supt. Isagani Cuevas sent Mayor Leonardia a complete list of recommendees recently but later it was recalled when Leonardia reportedly requested for another list, as none of the names of the senior police officers submitted was familiar to him.
