Bo Bediones seeks reelection
ROXAS CITY — In light of the persistent reports that Board Member Alfonso “Bo” Bediones, Jr.,of the 1st District of Capiz is not running for re election, a reliable source from the inner circle of the Liberal Party of the Province of Capiz is saying that he is going to run for reelection in this coming May 2010 election.
Reportedly, he already got the nod of Sen. Mar Roxas last May. Roxas, the acknowledged leader of the Liberal Party in the province has given his go ahead signal to BM Bediones to run considering that its just his first term.
This was reportedly confirmed by Mr. Emmanuel “Tawi” Billones on many occasions. Billones is the Chief of Staff of Sen. Roxas and is always seen together with BM Bediones, who is the Regional Coordinator of the Friends of Mar in the Island of Panay.
Bediones, prior to entering politics, is a former banker for about four years, who had worked at Far East Bank & Trust Co. in Manila and in Allied Bank in Roxas City and has served as the Sales Manager of Asia Brewery Inc., for almost 18 years, handling the Sales Office Operations of Capiz, Aklan, Negros Occidental, Iloilo and Antique. And for eight years, he was the Executive Assistant of then Governor Vicente Bermejo of the Province of Capiz and later as the Capiz Provincial Tourism Officer.
Bediones is an active Kiwanian, being the past President of the Kiwanis Club of Roxas City Inc., a former Chairman of the Board of the Philippine National Red Cross, Capiz Chapter and an active member of the Couples for Christ among others.
