Police nab 3 suspects in rob-slay of businesswoman
ROXAS CITY – Police yesterday arrested the three suspects in the robbery and killing of businesswoman Noeme Sunsona, 64 years old, in Purok 1, Brgy. Libas this city last Friday.
Sr. Supt. Leo Batiles identified the suspects as Ferdinand Amaller, 51, of Dinginan, Pablo Bacanto, 27, and Beltran Enoslay, all are residents of Alba Village, Dinginan, Roxas City. Enoslay, who is a relative and a former driver of the victim, is a brother-in-law of Bacanto.
Batiles said that he considered the robbery with homicide case as already solved, however, one of the suspects involved in the crime is still subject of manhunt operation by the police.
Last Friday, Sunsona was found dead at her house with stab wounds on different parts of her body. The family of the victim declared that some P500,000 and P200,000 worth of jewelries were carted away by the suspects.
Libas Barangay Captain Solomon Alisasis told The News Today (TNT) that the arrest of the three suspects was made possible through a deaf-mute witness who described the suspects through signs.
According to Alisasis, the witness saw the suspects emerged from the scene of incident at around 2 a.m. last Friday prompting him to follow up with the police.
The suspects were later traced up at their residence with recoveries of cash and jewelries.
The jewelries were identified by Wilfred Sunsona, husband of the victim at the police station.
Recovered from the house of Enoslay were: some P20,000 cash; 4 gold necklace with pendant; 5 silver necklace; 7 gold bracelets; 6 silver bracelets; 2 gold ladies wristwatch; 2 gold men’s rings; 6 gold ladies rings; 4 gold ladies rings and assorted golds rings and jacket with blood stains.
The suspects admitted to be the perpetrators of the crime committed. The police are now readying robbery and homicide cases against the suspects.
