Vice Gov. Yulo to turn over books to 5th District
BACOLOD CITY — Negros Occidental Vice Governor Emilio “Dino” Yulo, III will soon turn over books donated by the Ronald McDonald’s House Charities to selected elementary schools in the 5th District.
These educational materials, which will benefit grade one pupils, were given to Vice Gov. Yulo during a simple ceremony Tuesday, September 15 at Andres Bonifacio Elementary School II, Bacolod City.
As part of their corporate social responsibility, Ronald McDonald’s House Charities also provided a short training seminar to teachers of selected elementary schools in the 5th District on “teaching beginning reading” to arm them with the right approach in preparation for the proper handling of the donated books aimed to make each pupil from grade one an independent reader once they reached grade three.
Present during the activity were SPM Miller Serondo; Zonito Torrevillas, Executive Director of the Ronald McDonalds House Charities; and educators from Bacolod City and the 5th District. (Capitol News)
