Fil-Chinese business group turns over classrooms
BACOLOD CITY — Mayor Evelio Leonardia expressed the city government’s utmost gratitude to the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FFCCCI) which recently donated a one-classroom building to each of four public schools in Bacolod.
The public schools who received the donation were the Handumanan Elementary School, Jose Gonzaga Elementary School, R. Medel Elementary School and C.V. Ramos Elementary School.
The mayor acknowledged the group’s response to the government’s problem on shortage of classrooms saying that this move is a great help not only to the school administration but to the students themselves who will be more encouraged to study and learn.
Leonardia also acknowledged other private and civic organizations who work hand in hand with the city government to uplift the lives of many Bacolodnons.
The simultaneous turnover ceremony was attended by some officials of the FFCCCI, school officials led by Bacolod DepEd head Milagros Gonzales, barangay officials, Sipalay Vice Mayor Oscar Montilla, parents and students.
