First Negros Press Club Awards
NPC Stalwarts Edgar Cadagat, Pert Toga, Primo Esleyer, Festival Director Eli Tajanlangit, Ninfa Leonardia, Ely delos Santos, Rolly Espina & Mode Sa-onoyThe first NPC (Negros Press Club) Awards was held recently at L’ Fisher Hotel honoring Negros media stalwarts for their contributions towards the development of the local press and of the club itself.
Honored during the awards night were Ninfa Leonardia, Primo Esleyer, Rollie Espina, Modesto Sa-onoy, Ely de los Santos and Ruperto Toga. Special awards were also given to Edgar Cadagat for his efforts in promoting press freedom and to Allen del Carmen for journalism education.
The custom made “Quill and Paper” trophy was designed by Bacolod artist Manny Montelibano.The NPC Awards Night was produced by the Silver MassKara Festival Organization, Inc., organizer of MassKara 2009.
