A pearl of a gathering
The Iloilo City Integrated Lions Club is one sturdy club, indeed when it turned 30 this year. The Pearl anniversary was celebrated along with the induction of its new officers and members as well as that of the Panay Council of Lions Clubs. Amigo Terrace Hotel’s Grand Ballroom was turned into a barrio fiesta as the Lions and their special guests, dressed in their Filipiniana best, paid tribute to an organization known for its service to the community. A twinning ceremony also took place for the ICILC, Mt. Kanlandog and Mt. Kanlaon Lions Clubs of Negros Occidental and Queen City Lions Club of Cebu. As twin clubs, they will share services, culture and ideas.
The ICILC’s president is Marcos Villalon while that of PCLC is Pons Yuson.
