Bolante belies reshuffling of Ugyon bets in 2010 polls
ROXAS CITY – Former Department of Agriculture (DA) Undersecretary Jocelyn “Jocjoc” Bolante strongly denied rumors that there is a reshuffling of bets of Ugyon Kita Capiz Party in the 2010 election.
In a text message circulated by Bolante, he clarified that he will still be running for governor and not for congressman as the rumors suggest.
“The talk about my running for congress & Cong Oto (referring to 2nd District Cong. Fredenil Castro) for governor is a cheap, malicious disinformation by people who have run out of insults against Jocjoc,” reads Bolante’s text message in answer to the rumors.
He added that the blatant lie simply reveals the kind of people who wanted to discredit him.
“They cannot achieve their objective without lying. Pobre espirito. Indi lang butigon sila, estupido pa!” he said.
Bolante added, they don’t realize that their lie will boomerang to them the moment he files his COC (Certificate of Candidacy) in a few weeks.
“Mga tanga talaga. Ti amo guid ina ang matabo kon ang unod sang ila utok kag tagipuso-on malain kag pobri espirito guid,” he added.
For almost 2nd weeks, rumors said that Bolante, who garnered lesser votes than Gov. Victor Tanco, Sr in a survey, will opt to run as congressman while Cong. Fred Casto will run for governor.
In the same rumor, Mrs. Jane Castro, wife of the congressman, will settle down as mayor in Dumalag while Vice Gov. Felipe Barredo will go back as mayor of Panay as the incumbent Mayor will run for 1st district board member.
Rumors added that City Mayor Vicente Bermejo will throw his hat on the congressional race to oppose 1st District Cong. Antonio del Rosario while Businessman John Arcenas will replace Bermejo in the mayoral race.
