Suspected shabu seized from house of CVO
ROXAS CITY – Several sachets of shabu were recovered from the house of a Civilian Volunteers Organization (CVO) member and his wife after the elements of Roxas City PNP station conducted a raid at dawn yesterday in Barangay Tabuc here.
Armed with a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Edward Contreras, the police raided the house of CVO member Judy and wife Rosana Abarracoso.
Sr. Supt. Leo Batiles, city police chief, said that recovered from the suspects were four small sachets of suspected shabu, several empty sachets, aluminum foil and cellphone.
Batiles said they have conducted a test buy on the suspects last week and it turn positive. He added, their house was used as venue where some drug users conduct pot session.
Punta Tabuc Brgy. Captain Romeo de Felipe said that he wondered why the suspect CVO was always absent last month adding that Abarracoso will answer his violation.
Meanwhile, the suspects are now detained at the lock-up cell of Roxas City PNP Station while recoveries are subject for examination at the crime laboratory in Iloilo City.
